MEG prices decline in Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices decreased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices plunged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1225/ton to US$ 1230/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices dipped and were quoted at US$ 1205/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market remained stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1235/ton to US$ 1240/ton.
 
PTA prices plunged in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices decreased and were quoted in the range of US$ 890/ton to US$ 895/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices declined and were assessed at US$ 890/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market decreased and were quoted in the range of US$ 890/ton to US$ 895/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices fell and were assessed in the range of RMB 6200/ton to RMB 6250/ton.
 
Ethylene prices showed a mixed trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices surged and were quoted in the range off US$ 1420/ton to US$ 1425/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices remained unchanged and were assessed at US$ 1410/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices plunged and were quoted in the range of 50.00 cents/pound to 50.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained unchanged in the European international as well as domestic market and were assessed at US$ 1265/ton and € 950/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices declined in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices plunged and were quoted at US$ 900/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices increased and were assessed in the range of US$ 915/ton to US$ 920/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG price decreased and were quoted in the range of RMB 6500/ton to RMB 6550/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, BG PET Chips remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1300/ton to US$ 1340/ton, and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1310/ton to US$ 1350/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers were quoted at US$ US$ 1320/ton to US$ 1360/ton, while talked prices were between US$ 1310/ton to US$ 1350/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of RMB 8350/ton to RMB 8400/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 1130/ton to US$ 1160/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1190/ton to US$ 1240/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices remained unchanged and were quoted in the range of RMB 8400/ton to RMB 8450/ton.
 
PSF prices remained stable in Asian markets. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were assessed at US$ 1505/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were assessed at US$ 1405/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices remained unchanged and were quoted in the range of RMB 9275/ton to RMB 9325/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY and DTY decreased at RMB 9175/ton, RMB 11100/ton, while FDY prices remained unchanged and were assessed at RMB 9650/ton. In the export market, prices of POY and DTY declined at US$ 1265/ton and US$ 1540/ton, while FDY prices remained unchanged and were quoted at US$ 1325/ton.
