PTA & MEG prices increase in Southeast Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices remained stable in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices were unchanged and were offered in the range of US$ 1235/ton to US$ 1240/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices remained steady and were offered at US$ 1220/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market increased and were quoted in the range of US$ 1235/ton to US$ 1240/ton.
 
PTA prices surged up in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices increased were quoted in the range of US$ 900/ton to US$ 905/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices surged and were quoted at US$ 900/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market increased and were quoted in the range of US$ 890/ton to US$ 895/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices remained steady and were quoted in the range of RMB 6300/ton to RMB 6350/ton.
 
Ethylene prices showed mixed sentiments in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices increased and were quoted in the range of US$ 1435/ton to US$ 1440/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices kept unchanged and were offered at US$ 1425/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices were stable in the range of 51.00 cents/pound to 52.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained steady in the European international as well as domestic markets and were offered at US$ 1260/ton and € 935/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices increased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices surged and were assessed at US$ 955/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices went up and were offered in the range of US$ 940/ton to US$ 945/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices stayed steady in the range of RMB 6800/ton to RMB 6850/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips dropped and were assessed in the range of US$ 1260/ton to US$ 1300/ton, and some deals concluded in the range of US$ 1270/ton to US$ 1310/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers declined and were quoted at US$ 1280/ton to US$ 1320/ton, while talked prices were quoted between US$ 1290/ton and US$ 1330/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices remained unchanged in the range of RMB 8400/ton to RMB 8500/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices decreased and were offered in the range of US$ 1100/ton to US$ 1140/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1160/ton to US$ 1210/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices stayed steady and were offered in the range of RMB 8000/ton to RMB 8025/ton.
 
PSF prices kept inert in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were assessed at US$ 1495/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were quoted at US$ 1395/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices kept steady and were assessed in the range of RMB 8975/ton to RMB 9025/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, Polyester POY, DTY and FDY prices were stable at RMB 9000/ton, RMB 11000/ton and RMB 9450/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY, and FDY remained steady at US$ 1225/ton, US$ 1505/ton, and US$ 1280/ton, respectively.
