Chip Enterprises webinar to discuss T-ChIP tool

Chip Enterprises, LLC will offer a webinar on Wednesday, March 26 at 12:00 noon EST detailing T-ChIP the Textile Chemical Information Profile, a system for providing confidential, verifiable hazard and risk evaluations of commercial textile chemical products.

The T-ChIP system combines ingredient-level hazard assessment information from SciVera with a practical analysis of human and environmental exposure resulting from the production and use of textile chemicals.

The result is a thorough hazard/risk profile for a commercial textile chemical product and its ingredients, developed without compromising the intellectual property of the textile chemical producer. To participate in the webinar, contact Dina Dunn at Dina@T-ChIPTicket.com for log in directions.

Textile product brands and retailers require an expanding range of chemical information from their supply chain to effectively support sustainability and consumer product safety initiatives. In addition, brands and retailers want reassurances about the individual ingredients used to formulate commercial textile chemical compounds.

For textile chemical products such as pigments, dyes, lubricants, and finishing agents, the formulations can be complex and proprietary. The T-ChIP process protects those trade secrets while still providing the required ingredient-level information. 

The March 26th webinar will describe the T-ChIP process and outputs with helpful insights for textile chemical manufacturers and distributors, textile product manufacturers, and brands and retailers.

T-ChIP is the result of active participation with the textile industry’s leading sustainability proponents including the OIA, the AAFA, the Sustainable Apparel Coalition, the International Oeko-Tex Association, the US EPA, and AFIRM.
