PSF prices decline in Southeast & Far East Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices remained steady in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices kept inert and were quoted in the range of US$ 1165/ton to US$ 1170/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices remained stable and were offered at US$ 1145/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market increased and were quoted in the range of US$ 1165/ton to US$ 1170/ton.
 
PTA prices inched up in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices increased were quoted in the range of US$ 880/ton to US$ 885/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices rose and were quoted at US$ 880/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market moved up and were in the range of US$ 865/ton to US$ 870/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices remained steady in the range of RMB 6100/ton to RMB 6150/ton.
 
Ethylene prices kept unchanged in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 1440/ton to US$ 1445/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices stayed stable and were quoted at US$ 1425/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices declined and were offered in the range of 51.00 cents/pound to 51.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained unchanged in European international and domestic markets and were assessed at US$ 1230/ton and € 920/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices went up in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices increased and were assessed at US$ 925/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices remained steady and were quoted in the range of US$ 910/ton to US$ 915/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of RMB 6500/ton to RMB 6550/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips increased in the range of US$ 1310/ton to US$ 1350/ton, and some deals were quoted in the range of US$ 1320/ton to US$ 1360/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers remained steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton, while talked prices were offered between US$ 1340/ton and US$ 1380/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices surged and were offered in the range of RMB 8500/ton to RMB 8550/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices surged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1140/ton to US$ 1180/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1200/ton to US$ 1240/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices kept inert and were assessed in the range of RMB 7900/ton to RMB 7950/ton.
 
PSF prices declined in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were assessed at US$ 1485/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were quoted at US$ 1385/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices declined and were offered in the range of RMB 8725/ton to RMB 8775/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, Polyester POY, DTY and FDY prices remained steady and were offered at RMB 8750/ton, RMB 10900/ton and RMB 9400/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY, and FDY decreased to US$ 1180/ton, US$ 1480/ton, and US$ 1265/ton, respectively.
