Turkey's carpet exports surge 12.5% in March'14: TIM

According to the March 2014 Export Data of TIM, Turkey exported carpets worth $191,210 during the month of March, compared to the $169,936 exports of carpets made during the same month last year.

Carpet exports from the country accounted for 1.5 percent of the overall exports made from Turkey during the month of March.

During February 2014, Turkey exported carpets worth $177,167 recording a rise of 9.7 percent compared to the same month last year. Carpet exports during the month of February also accounted for 1.5 percent of the overall exports made from the country during the month.

Carpet exports from Turkey totaled US$ 2.196 billion in 2013, indicating a rise of 9.3 percent year-on-year.
