PX prices rise in Asia; Ethylene prices move up in US

Paraxylene (PX) prices increased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices surged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1210/ton to US$ 1215/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices increased and were offered at US$ 1195/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market rose and were offered in the range of US$ 1205/ton to US$ 1210/ton.
 
PTA prices kept unchanged in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices remained steady and were offered in the range of US$ 895/ton to US$ 900/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices remained stable and were assessed at US$ 895/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market remained steady and were quoted in the range of US$ 895/ton to US$ 900/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of RMB 6350/ton to RMB 6400/ton.
 
Ethylene prices remained steady in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices stayed steady in the range of US$ 1425/ton to US$ 1430/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices kept unchanged and were assessed at US$ 1370/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices surged and were offered in the range of 52.00 cents/pound to 52.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained stable in the European international as well as domestic markets and were quoted at US$ 1180/ton and € 870/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices remained stable in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices stayed steady and were offered at US$ 945/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices increased and were quoted in the range of US$ 935/ton to US$ 940/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices were stable in the range of RMB 6700/ton to RMB 6750/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips stayed steady in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1340/ton to US$ 1380/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers remained steady in the range of US$ 1350/ton to US$ 1390/ton, while talked prices were offered between US$ 1360/ton and US$ 1400/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices kept inert and were quoted in the range of RMB 8825/ton to RMB 8850/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained unchanged in the range of US$ 1160/ton to US$ 1200/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1220/ton to US$ 1260/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices were stable in the range of RMB 8225/ton to RMB 8275/ton.
 
PSF prices remained steady in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were offered at US$ 1480/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were quoted at US$ 1380/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices were steady in the range of RMB 8825/ton to RMB 8875/ton.
 
In the Chinese domesticmarket, Polyester POY, DTY and FDY prices kept steady and were quoted at RMB 9150/ton, RMB 11050/ton and RMB 9600/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY, and FDY remained steady at US$ 1235/ton, US$ 1500/ton, and US$ 1290/ton, respectively.
