Polyester POY prices increase in Chinese market

Paraxylene (PX) prices decreased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices dropped and were offered in the range of US$ 1220/ton to US$ 1225/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices declined and were quoted at US$ 1200/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market kept inert and were assessed in the range of US$ 1225/ton to US$ 1230/ton.

PTA prices declined in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices plunged and were assessed in the range of US$ 890/ton to US$ 895/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices decreased and were quoted at US$ 890/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market remained steady and were offered in the range of US$ 895/ton to US$ 900/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices kept inert and were quoted in the range of RMB 6200/ton to RMB 6250/ton.

Ethylene prices remained unchanged in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 1430/ton to US$ 1435/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices kept steady and were quoted at US$ 1370/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices increased and were quoted in the range of 52.00 cents/pound to 52.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices were stable in the European international as well as domestic markets at US$ 1180/ton and € 870/ton, respectively.

MEG prices remained steady in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices kept inert and were offered at US$ 945/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices decreased and were assessed in the range of US$ 925/ton to US$ 930/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices remained unchanged in the range of RMB 6700/ton to RMB 6770/ton.

In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips were unchanged in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton, and some deals were quoted in the range of US$ 1340/ton to US$ 1380/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers remained steady in the range of US$ 1350/ton to US$ 1390/ton, while talked prices were offered between US$ 1360/ton and US$ 1400/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices were offered in the range of RMB 7925/ton to RMB 8825/ton.

In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 1160/ton to US$ 1200/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1220/ton to US$ 1260/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices kept unchanged and were quoted in the range of RMB 8225/ton to RMB 8275/ton.

PSF prices maintained steady trend in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$ 1480/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were quoted at US$ 1380/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices stayed steady in the range of RMB 8825/ton to RMB 8875/ton.

In the Chinese domestic market, Polyester POY prices increased to RMB 9200/ton, while DTY prices declined to RMB 10800/ton. FDY prices kept steady and were offered at RMB 9600/ton. In the export market, POY prices increased to US$ 1245/ton, while DTY prices declined to US$ 1465/ton, but FDY prices kept steady and were offered at US$ 1290/ton.
