Milan, the city known for hosting its glitzy international menswear and womenswear bi-annual fashion weeks, has recently wrapped up another fashion centric event solely dedicated to the avant-garde home textile industry.

The official organizers of Milan Fashion Week, Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (national chamber of Italian fashion), organized the just concluded spectacular edition of Milano Moda Design (Milan Fashion Design), a global event that highlights the innovations in home décor sector.

The week-long exhibition, which was concurrently organized along with the Furniture Fair (Salone del Mobile), showcased a dazzling array of upholstery and other home furnishings from world-famous Italian fashion maestros like Armani, Fendi, Emilio Pucci and Trussardi.

Well known fashion house Missoni showcased a range of its signature geometric pattern adorned fabrics, meant for curtains, pillows and home linen, where as design goddess Miuccia Prada opted to feature furniture upholstery materials in gorgeous shades of red, emerald green and gold at the event.

Other than the home furnishing displays, the event also exhibited a wide variety of interior accessories, such as furniture, wallpapers, cutleries and decorative items.
