Polyester POY and DTY prices rise in Chinese markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices declined in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices plunged and were offered in the range of US$ 1210/ton to US$ 1215/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices declined and were assessed at US$ 1190/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market kept inert and were offered in the range of US$ 1215/ton to US$ 1220/ton.

PTA prices decreased in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices fell and were quoted in the range of US$ 885/ton to US$ 890/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices declined and were assessed at US$ 885/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market kept inert and were quoted in the range of US$ 885/ton to US$ 890/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices increased and were quoted in the range of RMB 6275/ton to RMB 6325/ton.

Ethylene prices kept unchanged in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices remained steady and were offered in the range of US$ 1460/ton to US$ 1465/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices remained stable and were assessed at US$ 1370/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices stayed steady and were quoted in the range of 53.50 cents/pound to 54.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices were stable in the European international market at US$ 1170/ton, while they decreased in European domestic market to € 860/ton.

MEG prices increased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices surged and were offered at US$ 935/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 920/ton to US$ 925/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices increased and were assessed in the range of RMB 6775/ton to RMB 6825/ton.

In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips remained steady in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1340/ton to US$ 1380/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers kept inert in the range of US$ 1350/ton to US$ 1390/ton, while talked prices were offered in the range of US$ 1360/ton to US$ 1400/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices remained steady and were offered in the range of RMB 8750/ton to RMB 8775/ton.

In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices kept stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 1160/ton to US$ 1200/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1220/ton to US$ 1260/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices increased and were quoted in the range of RMB 8300/ton to RMB 8350/ton.

PSF prices maintained steady trend in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$ 1480/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were assessed at US$ 1380/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices dropped and were offered in the range of RMB 8725/ton to RMB 8775/ton.

In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY and DTY increased to RMB 9350/ton and RMB 11075/ton, respectively, while FDY prices were steady at RMB 9650/ton. In the export market, offers for POY and DTY increased to US$ 1265/ton and US$ 1505/ton, while FDY prices were stable at US$ 1295/ton.
