Raymond Limited - the leading manufacturer, marketer and retailer of worsted suiting fabrics announced the launch of its latest Spring Summer collection. The Spring Summer collection offers an exciting new range of Summer of Wool fabrics – a first of its kind, unique collection designed especially for Indian Summers.

The Summer of Wool collection from Raymond offers a smart and comfortable range of fabrics, which includes 100 percent pure merino wool as well as innovative blends of merino wool combined with natural fibres like cotton and linen amongst others. Each of these fabrics are manufactured using state of the art technology and processes; delivering high quality fabrics that are durable and come in a wide array of colors.

Raymond also announced the launch of a new entry level worsted fabric called True Star for an exciting upgrade for customers to the world of wool - as a part of the Summer of Wool collection.

Commenting on this launch, Mrinmoy Mukherjee - Chief Marketing Officer - Lifestyle Business, Raymond Limited said “Raymond has a rich legacy in wool and wool as a fabric has always been highly versatile by nature. We consider wool to be an appealing proposition in fabric and readymade that can be used round the year in the country.

The Summer of Wool collection from Raymond offers smart and comfortable fabrics that unleash the true potential of wool by offering our customers an exquisite collection ideal for all seasons. We are confident that the magic of wool along with the brand equity of Raymond will continue to be winning combination across the country.”

Traditionally, wool has been associated with winters but wool has always been a great insulator. During winters it does not allow body heat to escape and stay warm, whereas in summers it insulates the body from ambient heat. This feature along with its property of breathability makes wool good fabric for day-long comfort.

The soft and luxurious feel of wool can blend well to a fashionable ensemble that not only brings out the style quotient but also the comfort aspects of the Summer of Wool collection from Raymond, with a strong advocacy for wool as a fiber.

Today, Raymond is one of the major importers of wool from Australia, and has pioneered many firsts in the market.  It was the first company to introduce Poly Wool in India in the 1960s and thereafter, has been known in the market for its various innovations with wool.  Some of the path-breaking innovations that the company has pioneered are the Lineage Line, Renaissance Collection, Chairman’s Collection, Tasmania Collection, to mention a few. The rich legacy in wool combined with strong brand equity of Raymond is sure to be a winning combination in the market.
