VFY prices increase in Chinese market last week

In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Cotton Linter were quoted at RMB 2885/ton during the last week ending April 18, 2014, which were almost stable compared to the previous week. In the last updates from market, offer prices were in the range of RMB 2800/ton to RMB 3100/ton, and trading prices were in the range of RMB 2600/ton to RMB 2900/ton.
 
Prices of Dissolving Pulp were quoted at RMB 6570/ton in the last week, which were relatively stable compared to the previous week. Prices of imported Dissolving Wood Pulp were assessed in the range of US$ 850/ton to US$ 860/ton. Prices of Pulp imported from the US and Europe were in the range of US$ 870/ton to US$ 880/ton, while those from Canada were in the range of US$ 880/ton to US$ 890/ton. Prices of Pulp imported from Sweden were between US$ 870/ton and US$ 880/ton.
 
VSF prices remained stable at RMB 11550/ton in the last week, which were unchanged from the previous week. At the beginning of the week, VSF market opened at RMB 11550/ton, and prices remained stable during the week and were offered in the range of RMB 11550/ton to RMB 11650/ton. In the Chinese market, offers for imported VSF were witnessed in the range of US$ 1.62/kg to US$ 1.66/kg. Market analysts expect VSF prices to decline further in the near term.
 
In the last week, VFY market showed firm sentiments and prices were assessed at RMB 34330/ton, which were relatively up compared to the previous week. VFY market improved due to firm demand from the downstream buyers during the week. VFY producers kept offers in the range of RMB 34300/ton to RMB 34400/ton. In the Chinese market, offers for imported VFY hovered in the range of US$ 5670/ton to US$ 5780/ton.
