Artlant temporarily shuts PTA plant

Portugal-based Artlant has temporarily shut its purified terephthalic acid (PTA) plant.
“The PTA plant was shut down in the mid of last week due to some technical issues,” a company official told fibre2fashion.
“The plant is expected to come online in the first half of May 2014,” the official further informed.
Located in Portugal, Europe, Atrlant’s plant has capacity to produce 700,000 mt/year of PTA.
