In step with the industry and leading the trends: DOMOTEX asia/CHINAFLOOR brought excitement, quality and new ideas to high-profile attendees.

The second largest international flooring show in the world, based at the heart of one of the most active and exciting markets, Asia, once again gathered the industry for three appealing days at the Shanghai New International Exhibition Centre on March 25-27, 2014.

Statistics tell a lot on the success of this edition of the show. 1,177 exhibitors, of which 253 coming from outside China and including 9 country pavilions from Afghanistan, Belgium, Germany, India, Iran, Netherlands, Pakistan, Turkey, USA and 42,386 professional visitors made this year upbeat event the biggest in its history (140,000sqm gross).

Of the total 2014 visitors’ number, 31,598 came from China and 10,788 from 102 countries. The questionnaire run among both domestic and international visitors during the show revealed great satisfaction with the show visits. Even more significant are the numbers regarding the booths’ space which the exhibitors rebooked on the spot for the next 2015 show: 58.3% of the space were already confirmed by the exhibitors during the 3-days event, with an increase of 35.6% compared to the booths sales performance made onsite in 2013.

Some of the most interesting products presented at DOMOTEX asia/CHINAFLOOR were highlighted and brought to the spotlight thanks to special promotion campaigns launched or hosted by the show organizers. The InnovAction flooring campaign performed an impressive InnovAction centre, a well-designed area where 10 innovative ideas received the interest of media, experts and a big number of visitors.

The new products presented here were: KAINDL TWO H20150 SWEET GUM by Beamy International Holding, VERTICAL by Inotec, ANTRON by Invista Trading, NAT Series by Shanghai Yuweng Carpet, ENCHANTING COWBOY by Artree, MODULAR MARMOLEUM by Forbo Shanghai, LAK PARQUET LAB AND ART COLLECTION by Guangzhou Lak Building, HYBRO PLUS LAMINATE WALL & WATER/KITCHEN WALL PANELS by Beaulieu International Group, AXMISTER CARPETS by Weihai Haima Carpet and NORA CROSSLINE RUBBER FLOORING by Nora System.

Some of these new products stood out in terms of innovative design, other in terms of innovative materials and other in terms of technology. This was the case of Inotec which presented “Vertical”, a new locking system which installs boards vertically for faster installation and which enables to replace a board anywhere in the floor without damages. In the InnovAction Awards competition Beaulieu International Group received the first prize with “Hydro Plus laminate”, a new series for kitchen and bathroom with high water persistence.
