Premiere Vision announced results for Hyères 29th International Festival of Fashion and Photography competition on April 27. Just a few hours from the close of the Hyères 29th International Festival of Fashion and Photography, the fashion competition jury, headed up by Kenzo creative directors CAROL LIM and HUMBERTO LEO, ended the suspense by crowning Japanese designer Kenta Matsushige, winner of the Première Vision Grand Jury Prize for 2014!
Première Vision has been working for four years alongside the famed festival of young fashion designers, and for the second year in a row, the international show awarded the Première Vision Grand Jury Prize, which comes with a 15,000€ prize.
Beyond the Grand Prize, Première Vision also supports the young designers in the making of their collections. This year, as every year, the 10 finalists were welcomed to the February 2014 shows of Première Vision, Modamont and Expofil. They were put in direct contact with exhibitors who expressed a desire to collaborate, and thus benefitted from a privileged access to yarns, fabrics and trims from top international companies.
Additionally, in a new development this year, they were welcomed by select exhibitors at ZOOM, the fashion manufacturing show, to help them manufacture their collections.
Since it started collaborating with the festival, Première Vision has seen its exhibitors ‘participation growing every year. And according to the finalists, but also to the fashion people present in Hyères, the quality of the collections has highly increased too!
