PSF prices decline marginally in Asian region

Paraxylene (PX) prices decreased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices plunged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1170/ton to US$ 1175/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices declined and were quoted at US$ 1155/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market plunged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1185/ton to US$ 1190/ton.
 
PTA prices showed mixed trend in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices surged marginally and were assessed in the range of US$ 875/ton to US$ 880/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices kept inert and were offered at US$ 870/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market stayed stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 865/ton to US$ 870/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices remained steady and were offered in the range of RMB 6100/ton to RMB 6125/ton.
 
Ethylene prices showed mixed trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices kept unchanged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1460/ton to US$ 1465/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices decreased and were quoted at US$ 1380/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices increased and were quoted in the range of 57.50 cents/pound to 58.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices inched up in European international as well as domestic markets and were offered at US$ 1215/ton and € 885/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices remained steady in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices stayed stable and were assessed at US$ 910/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices remained steady and were offered in the range of US$ 900/ton to US$ 905/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices decreased and were quoted in the range of RMB 6600/ton to RMB 6650/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips remained steady in the range of US$ 1340/ton to US$ 1380/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1350/ton to US$ 1390/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers remained stable in the range of US$ 1360/ton to US$ 1400/ton, while talked prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1370/ton to US$ 1410/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices declined and were quoted in the range of RMB 8100/ton to RMB 8150/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 1160/ton to US$ 1200/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were offered in the range of US$ 1230/ton to US$ 1260/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of RMB 8200/ton to RMB 8250/ton.
 
PSF prices declined marginally in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$ 1400/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were quoted at US$ 1300/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices increased marginally and were assessed in the range of RMB 8700/ton to RMB 8750/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY and FDY decreased to RMB 9125/ton and RMB 9500/ton, while DTY prices remained stable at RMB 10900/ton. In the export market, offers for POY and FDY fell to US$ 1220/ton and US$ 1260/ton, while DTY prices remained steady at US$ 1465/ton.
