More than two months away from its opening, the launch edition of Heimtextil India, the country’s leading trade fair for Home and Contract textiles, has garnered tremendous response both from exhibitors and potential trade visitors, and is expected to be sold out in the coming week. The trade fair will be held from 19 – 21 June at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi.

Leading industry players like D’Decor Home Fabrics Pvt. Ltd, Dicitex Furnishings, Dimora Furnishings, Birla Century, Portico New York, Reliance Industries Ltd and many others have confirmed their participation, and are eagerly waiting to present their collections at Heimtextil India, where next season’s Home fashion and textile trends are exhibited before they even reach the stores.

“Heimtextil is globally identified as the go-to destination to spot international trends in the Home and contract textiles market; and with the overwhelming response we have received for the 2014 edition of Heimtextil India, we can say that the show is ready to present designs, trends and solutions that will put India on the global map”, shared Mr Raj Manek, Managing Director, Messe Frankfurt Trade Fairs India.

With both new and leading brands confirming their presence for Heimtextil India, trade visitors and buyers will find a unique mix of fresh, artistic and contemporary customised solutions. Moreover, the 2014 edition has strong support from the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH), who believe it will be a perfect platform for interior designers, architects and retail chains looking at sourcing new products in the home furnishing and textile market.

The most innovative applications across an array of product categories, such as bedroom, bath linen, table linen, kitchen textiles, window decorations, furniture fabric salon, textile floor coverings, walls of the world and design & technology will be on display.

Regarding their participation in the exhibition, Mr Arun Bhawsingka, CEO, Portico New York said: “Heimtextil is an important industry event globally. The launch of the show in India aligns with Portico New York’s mission to make Indian homes more fashionable. It will be inspiring to identify the latest products and trends that will influence the retail market in the coming season. We will be introducing our range of bed & bath creations as well as our premium home furnishing products to the market through the show, and display haute couture in home fashion by the likes of Manish Arora, Neeta Lulla & Nishka Lulla.”
