PX & PTA prices move up in Far East Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices increased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices surged and were offered in the range of US$ 1230/ton to US$ 1235/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices moved up and were quoted at US$ 1210/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market increased and were assessed in the range of US$ 1225/ton to US$ 1230/ton.
 
PTA prices surged in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices increased and were quoted in the range of US$ 875/ton to US$ 880/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices increased and were offered at US$ 870/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market increased and were assessed in the range of US$ 860/ton to US$ 865/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices remained steady and were quoted in the range of RMB 6125/ton to RMB 6175/ton.
 
Ethylene prices remained steady in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices kept steady and were quoted in the range of US$ 1445/ton to US$ 1450/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices remained stable and were offered at US$ 1375/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices increased and were quoted in the range of 54.00 cents/pound to 54.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices kept unchanged in European international as well as in domestic markets and were quoted at US$ 1205/ton and € 885/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices decreased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices dropped and were offered at US$ 920/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices decreased and were quoted in the range of US$ 920/ton to US$ 925/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices remained steady in the range of RMB 6725/ton to RMB 6775/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips remained steady in the range of US$ 1320/ton to US$ 1360/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers were steady in the range of US$ 1340/ton to US$ 1380/ton, while talked prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1350/ton to US$ 1390/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of RMB 8400/ton to RMB 8450/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices kept steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 1140/ton to US$ 1180/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1210/ton to US$ 1240/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices stayed steady and were offered in the range of RMB 7900/ton to RMB 7950/ton.
 
PSF prices kept inert in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$ 1410/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were offered at US$ 1310/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices remained steady in the range of RMB 8675/ton to RMB 8725/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY surged to RMB 8975/ton, while DTY and FDY prices remained steady at RMB 10700/ton and RMB 9300/ton. In the export market, offers for POY rose to US$ 1205/ton, while DTY and FDY prices were stable at US$ 1435/ton and US$ 1235/ton, respectively.
