PX & PTA prices continue to rise in Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices increased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices moved up and were assessed in the range of US$ 1240/ton to US$ 1245/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices inched up and were offered at US$ 1220/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market surged and were offered in the range of US$ 1230/ton to US$ 1235/ton.
 
PTA prices continued to increase in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices surged and were offered in the range of US$ 880/ton to US$ 885/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices rose and were quoted at US$ 875/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market went up and were offered in the range of US$ 865/ton to US$ 870/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices increased and were offered in the range of RMB 6300/ton to RMB 6350/ton.
 
Ethylene prices maintained steady trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices remained stable and were offered in the range of US$ 1445/ton to US$ 1450/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices kept inert and were assessed at US$ 1375/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices increased and were quoted in the range of 53.50 cents/pound to 54.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices kept inert in the European international as well as in domestic markets and were assessed at US$ 1205/ton and € 885/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices kept unchanged in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices remained steady and were quoted at US$ 920/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices dropped and were assessed in the range of US$ 910/ton to US$ 915/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices stayed steady in the range of RMB 6725/ton to RMB 6775/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips were stable in the range of US$ 1320/ton to US$ 1360/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers were stable at US$ 1340/ton to US$ 1380/ton, while talked prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1350/ton to US$ 1390/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices remained steady and were offered in the range of RMB 8400/ton to RMB 8450/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained stable and were offered in the range of US$ 1140/ton to US$ 1180/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1210/ton to US$ 1240/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices remained unchanged and were quoted in the range of RMB 7900/ton to RMB 7950/ton.
 
PSF prices remained steady in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were offered at US$ 1410/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were quoted at US$ 1310/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices stayed stable in the range of RMB 8675/ton to RMB 8725/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY and FDY increased to RMB 9000/ton and RMB 9350/ton, while DTY prices remained unaltered at RMB 10700/ton. In the export market, offers for POY and FDY increased to US$ 1210/ton and US$ 1245/ton, while DTY prices remained steady at US$ 1440/ton.
