With eco issues becomingincreasingly important in the industry, the All About Sustainability zone (hall W4) returns for the second time. Featuring a showcase area for eco and sustainable fabrics, outfits and products, an educational zone for exhibitors, non-profit organisations and media to exchange industry insights and offer sustainability related information, as well as a series of presentations, there are opportunities for any eco-related company to take part.

Another growing sector in the domestic market is wool, with exhibitors in the Premium Wool Zone (hall W1) looking to tap into this demand. Located in a prominent area within SalonEurope, this zone focuses on high-end, premium wool products.

Also in hall W1 is Verve for Design, a creative textile design zone which offers opportunities for pattern design studios from around the world to showcase their latest ideas, trends and applications. And accessories will take centre stage in the Accessories Halls (halls E6 & E7) where international and domestic garment and fashion accessories suppliers can be found.

Fringe programme offers up extra promotion opportunities for exhibitors
Fabrics and accessories are not all that is on show at the fair however. This year’s fringe programme includes the A/W 2015-16 Intertextile Directions Trend Forum, the Intertextile Catwalk Show series, the China International Fabrics Design Competition and a number of product presentations. The seminar programme features topics including sustainability, design & trends, technology & solutions, certification & testing and market information & business strategies.

Running concurrently with Intertextile Shanghai are two other fairs: Yarn Expo Autumn 2014 and PH Value 2014, a fashion buying event. Both fairs are held from 20 to 22 October.

Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics – Autumn Edition 2014 is co-organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd; the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT; and the China Textile Information Centre.
