PTA & MEG prices increase in Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices remained steady in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices kept unchanged and were offered in the range of US$ 1260/ton to US$ 1265/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices remained stable and were assessed at US$ 1240/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market declined and were offered in the range of US$ 1260/ton to US$ 1265/ton.
 
PTA prices increased in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices went up and were quoted in the range of US$ 905/ton to US$ 910/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices surged and were offered at US$ 900/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market rose and were offered in the range of US$ 890/ton to US$ 895/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices kept inert and were assessed in the range of RMB 6450/ton to RMB 6500/ton.
 
Ethylene prices showed mixed trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices declined and were offered in the range of US$ 1455/ton to US$ 1460/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices remained steady and were assessed at US$ 1380/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices remained steady and were quoted in the range of 53.50 cents/pound to 54.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained steady in the European international as well as in domestic markets and were at offered at US$ 1205/ton and € 895/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices increased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices climbed up and were offered at US$ 935/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 915/ton to US$ 920/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices increased and were quoted in the range of RMB 6900/ton to RMB 6950/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips remained steady in the range of US$ 1320/ton to US$ 1360/ton, and some deals were assessed in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers were steady in the range of US$ 1340/ton to US$ 1380/ton, while talked prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1350/ton to US$ 1390/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices increased and were assessed in the range of RMB 8500/ton to RMB 8550/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices stayed steady in the range of US$ 1140/ton to US$ 1180/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1210/ton to US$ 1240/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices increased and were offered in the range of RMB 8150/ton to RMB 8175/ton.
 
PSF prices declined in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices went down to US$ 1400/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices dropped to US$ 1300/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices remained steady and were offered in the range of RMB 8775/ton to RMB 8825/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY and DTY remained steady at RMB 9200/ton and RMB 10725/ton, respectively, while FDY prices increased to RMB 9400/ton. In the export market, offers for POY and DTY declined to US$ 1230/ton and US$ 1435/ton, respectively, while FDY prices increased to US$ 1250/ton.
