MEG prices increase in China and Southeast Asia

Paraxylene (PX) prices continued its steady trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 1260/ton to US$ 1265/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices kept inert and were quoted at US$ 1240/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market remained steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 1260/ton to US$ 1265/ton.
 
PTA prices increased in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices surged and were offered in the range of US$ 910/ton to US$ 915/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices rose and were assessed at US$ 910/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market continued to increase and were quoted in the range of US$ 895/ton to US$ 900/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices stayed steady and were assessed in the range of RMB 6500/ton to RMB 6540/ton.
 
Ethylene prices were stable in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices remained steady and were quoted in the range of US$ 1455/ton to US$ 1460/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices kept stable and were quoted at US$ 1380/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices kept unchanged and were assessed in the range of 53.50 cents/pound to 54.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices increased in the European international as well as in domestic markets and were quoted at US$ 1215/ton and € 920/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices continued to surge in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices increased and were quoted at US$ 955/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices inched up and were offered in the range of US$ 925/ton to US$ 930/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices rose and were assessed in the range of RMB 7000/ton to RMB 7050/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips kept steady in the range of US$ 1320/ton to US$ 1360/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers were stable at US$ 1340/ton to US$ 1380/ton, while talked prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1350/ton to US$ 1390/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices surged and were quoted in the range of RMB 8550/ton to RMB 8600/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 1140/ton to US$ 1180/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1210/ton to US$ 1240/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices increased and were offered in the range of RMB 8225/ton to RMB 8275/ton.
 
PSF prices were stable in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices remained steady at US$ 1400/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices kept steady at US$ 1300/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of RMB 8775/ton to RMB 8825/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY and DTY increased to RMB 9300/ton and RMB 10750/ton, while FDY prices kept steady at RMB 9400/ton. In the export market, offers for POY and DTY surged to US$ 1245/ton and US$ 1440/ton, respectively, while FDY prices remained stable at US$ 1250/ton.
