PX & PTA prices show mixed trend in Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices showed mixed trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices declined marginally and were quoted in the range of US$ 1255/ton to US$ 1260/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices remained steady and were assessed at US$ 1240/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market kept stable and were offered in the range of US$ 1260/ton to US$ 1265/ton.
 
PTA prices showed mixed trend in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices kept inert and were quoted in the range of US$ 910/ton to US$ 915/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices declined and were quoted at US$ 905/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market increased and were assessed in the range of US$ 900/ton to US$ 905/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of RMB 6500/ton to RMB 6540/ton.
 
Ethylene prices decreased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices declined and were offered in the range of US$ 1450/ton to US$ 1455/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices dropped and were assessed at US$ 1375/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices remained steady and were quoted in the range of 54.00 cents/pound to 54.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices increased in the European international market to US$ 1225/ton, and remained steady in domestic markets at € 920/ton.
 
MEG prices increased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices surged and were offered at US$ 960/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices rose and were assessed in the range of US$ 945/ton to US$ 950/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices kept inert in the range of RMB 7000/ton to RMB 7050/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips remained steady in the range of US$ 1320/ton to US$ 1360/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers were steady in the range of US$ 1340/ton to US$ 1380/ton, while talked prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1350/ton to US$ 1390/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices kept inert and were offered in the range of RMB 8550/ton to RMB 8600/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices kept steady and were quoted in the range of US$ 1140/ton to US$ 1180/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were offered in the range of US$ 1210/ton to US$ 1240/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of RMB 8225/ton to RMB 8275/ton.
 
PSF prices remained steady in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices kept steady at US$ 1400/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices remained stable at US$ 1300/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices kept unchanged and were quoted in the range of RMB 8775/ton to RMB 8825/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, Polyester POY, DTY and FDY prices kept steady and were assessed at RMB 9300/ton, RMB 10750/ton and RMB 9400/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY, and FDY remained steady at US$ 1245/ton, US$ 1440/ton, and US$ 1250/ton, respectively.
