Polyester POY & DTY prices inch up in Chinese market

Paraxylene (PX) prices declined in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices fell and were quoted in the range of US$ 1240/ton to US$ 1245/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices plunged and were quoted at US$ 1225/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market declined and were offered in the range of US$ 1245/ton to US$ 1250/ton.
 
PTA prices increased in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices surged and were offered in the range of US$ 915/ton to US$ 920/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices rose and were quoted at US$ 910/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market kept inert and were offered in the range of US$ 900/ton to US$ 905/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices increased and were quoted in the range of RMB 6600/ton to RMB 6650/ton.
 
Ethylene prices kept inert in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices remained steady and were offered in the range of US$ 1450/ton to US$ 1455/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices kept unchanged and were quoted at US$ 1375/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices kept steady and were quoted in the range of 54.00 cents/pound to 54.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained stable in the European international as well as in domestic markets and were quoted at US$ 1225/ton and € 920/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices increased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices surged and were offered at US$ 965/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices moved up and were quoted in the range of US$ 950/ton to US$ 955/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices increased and were assessed in the range of RMB 7100/ton to RMB 7150/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips remained steady in the range of US$ 1320/ton to US$ 1360/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers were steady in the range of US$ 1340/ton to US$ 1380/ton, while talked prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1350/ton to US$ 1390/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices increased and were assessed in the range of RMB 8700/ton to RMB 8725/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 1140/ton to US$ 1180/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1210/ton to US$ 1240/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices surged and were quoted in the range of RMB 8275/ton to RMB 8300/ton.
 
PSF prices remained steady in the Asian region.  In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$ 1400/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices remained steady at US$ 1300/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices kept inert and were quoted in the range of RMB 8775/ton to RMB 8825/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY and DTY increased to RMB 9425/ton and RMB 10850/ton, respectively, while FDY prices stayed stable at RMB 9600/ton. In the export market, offers for POY and DTY increased to US$ 1265/ton and US$ 1455/ton, respectively, while FDY prices remained steady at US$ 1275/ton.
