Polyester POY & DTY prices inch up in Chinese market

Paraxylene (PX) prices declined in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices fell and were quoted in the range of US$ 1240/ton to US$ 1245/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices plunged and were quoted at US$ 1225/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market declined and were offered in the range of US$ 1245/ton to US$ 1250/ton.

In the F E Asian market, PTA prices rose and were quoted at US$ 910/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market kept inert and were offered in the range of US$ 900/ton to US$ 905/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices increased and were quoted in the range of RMB 6600/ton to RMB 6650/ton.

Ethylene prices remained stable in the European international as well as in domestic markets and were quoted at US$ 1225/ton and € 920/ton, respectively.
