PX, PTA & MEG prices move up in Asian region

Paraxylene (PX) prices increased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices surged and were offered in the range of US$ 1255/ton to US$ 1260/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices increased and were assessed at US$ 1240/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market plunged and were offered in the range of US$ 1240/ton to US$ 1245/ton.

PTA prices surged in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices increased and were quoted in the range of US$ 925/ton to US$ 930/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices rose and were assessed at US$ 920/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market inched up and were quoted in the range of US$ 905/ton to US$ 910/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices increased and were quoted in the range of RMB 6700/ton to RMB 6750/ton.

Ethylene prices showed varied trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices decreased and were assessed in the range of US$ 1445/ton to US$ 1450/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices remained steady and were assessed at US$ 1375/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices increased and were offered in the range of 54.50 cents/pound to 55.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices kept inert in the European international market at US$ 1225/ton, and increased in domestic market to € 930/ton.

MEG prices went up in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices increased and were offered at US$ 990/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices surged and were quoted in the range of US$ 955/ton to US$ 960/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices decreased and were assessed in the range of RMB 7000/ton to RMB 7050/ton.

In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips kept steady in the range of US$ 1320/ton to US$ 1360/ton, and some deals were offered in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers were stable in the range of US$ 1340/ton to US$ 1380/ton, while talked prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1350/ton to US$ 1390/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices kept unchanged and were offered in the range of RMB 8700/ton to RMB 8725/ton.

In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices were steady and were quoted in the range of US$ 1140/ton to US$ 1180/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1210/ton to US$ 1240/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices surged and were offered in the range of RMB 8500/ton to RMB 8550/ton.

PSF prices increased in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$ 1405/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices surged to US$ 1305/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices increased and were assessed in the range of RMB 9025/ton to RMB 9075/ton.

In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY and FDY increased to RMB 9500/ton and RMB 9750/ton, respectively, while DTY prices kept inert at RMB 10850/ton. In the export market, offers for POY and FDY increased to US$ 1280/ton and US$ 1300/ton, respectively, while DTY prices remained steady at US$ 1455/ton.
