PX, PTA & MEG prices continue to move up in Asian region

Paraxylene (PX) prices surged in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices increased and were quoted in the range of US$ 1275/ton to US$ 1280/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices went up and were offered at US$ 1260/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market increased and were assessed in the range of US$ 1255/ton to US$ 1260/ton.
 
PTA prices increased in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices surged and were assessed in the range of US$ 935/ton to US$ 940/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices moved up and were quoted at US$ 930/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market inched up and were offered in the range of US$ 915/ton to US$ 920/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices increased and were quoted in the range of RMB 6850/ton to RMB 6900/ton.
 
Ethylene prices kept inert in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices remained steady and were quoted in the range of US$ 1445/ton to US$ 1450/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices kept unchanged and were offered at US$ 1375/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices stayed steady and were quoted in the range of 54.50 cents/pound to 55.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices increased in the European international as well as in domestic markets and were quoted at US$ 1245/ton and € 940/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices increased in the Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices increased and were offered at US$ 990/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices inched up and were assessed in the range of US$ 980/ton to US$ 985/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices increased and were quoted in the range of RMB 7150/ton to RMB 7200/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips remained steady in the range of US$ 1320/ton to US$ 1360/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers were steady in the range of US$ 1340/ton to US$ 1380/ton, while talked prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1350/ton to US$ 1390/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of RMB 8700/ton to RMB 8725/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices were stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1140/ton to US$ 1180/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were offered in the range of US$ 1210/ton to US$ 1240/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices increased and were quoted in the range of RMB 8700/ton to RMB 8750/ton.
 
PSF prices remained steady in the Asian region.  In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were offered at US$ 1405/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices remained stable at US$ 1305/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices remained steady and were quoted in the range of RMB 9025/ton to RMB9075/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY and FDY increased to RMB 9600/ton and RMB 9850/ton, respectively, while DTY prices remained steady at RMB 10850/ton. In the export market, offers for POY and FDY surged to US$ 1295/ton and US$ 1315/ton, respectively, while DTY prices stayed stable at US$ 1455/ton.
