Following in the footsteps of its successful show at its office and showroom in Segrate, Milano this March, SHIMA SEIKI ITALIA S.p.A., Italian subsidiary of leading Japanese computerized knitting machine manufacturer SHIMA SEIKI MFG., LTD., will hold a private exhibition at its Carpi office next month.

The exhibition will be a showcase for the company’s diverse lineup of computerized flat knitting machines covering all aspects of knit manufacturing. From the flagship MACH2X series with SlideNeedles mounted on four needlebeds to the new compact SWG-N2 series WHOLEGARMENT knitting machine with capability for industrial textiles, the ultrafine gauge SWG-FIRST series with 21G capability—the finest possible gauge in flat knitting, MACH2SIR with the highest possible number of intarsia carriers, SRY123LP with loop pressers that produce unprecedented knitwear with woven textures, and the new SVR workhorse series that resets the industry benchmark for shaping machines, the comprehensive lineup is sure to impress as the most technologically advanced offering from any flat knitting machine manufacturer to date.

Demonstrations will also be performed on SHIMA SEIKI’s SDS-ONE APEX3 3D design system that is at the core of the company’s “Total Knitting System” concept. With comprehensive support of all aspects throughout the knit supply chain, APEX3 integrates knit production into one smooth and efficient workflow from yarn development, product planning and design to machine programming, production and even sales promotion.

Especially effective is APEX3’s capability to improve on the planning process with Virtual Sampling. Photo-realistic simulation capability minimizes the need for sample-making, effectively reducing time, material and cost from the sampling process.
