PTA & MEG prices increase in Chinese domestic market

Paraxylene (PX) prices surged in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices increased and were offered in the range of US$ 1290/ton to US$ 1295/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices surged and were assessed at US$ 1275/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market remained steady and were quoted in the range of US$ 1275/ton to US$ 1280/ton.
 
PTA prices surged in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices increased and were quoted in the range of US$ 975/ton to US$ 980/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices surged and were assessed at US$ 950/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market kept inert and were assessed in the range of US$ 935/ton to US$ 940/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices increased and were quoted in the range of RMB 7100/ton to RMB 7200/ton.
 
Ethylene prices remained steady in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices kept unchanged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1420/ton to US$ 1425/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices remained stable and were assessed at US$ 1375/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices kept steady and were assessed in the range of 55.00 cents/pound to 55.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices were stable in the European international as well as in domestic markets and were quoted at US$ 1280/ton and € 970/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices decreased in the Asian region. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices plunged and were quoted at US$ 980/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices decreased and were offered in the range of US$ 975/ton to US$ 980/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices increased and were assessed in the range of RMB 7300/ton to RMB 7350/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips kept inert in the range of US$ 1335/ton to US$ 1375/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1345/ton to US$ 1385/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers were steady in the range of US$ 1350/ton to US$ 1390/ton, while talked prices were offered in the range of US$ 1360/ton to US$ 1400/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices increased and were offered in the range of RMB 9150/ton to RMB 9200/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained steady and were quoted in the range of US$ 1150/ton to US$ 1190/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were stable in the range of US$ 1220/ton to US$ 1250/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of RMB 8750/ton to RMB 8800/ton.
 
PSF prices were steady in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$ 1410/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices kept steady at US$ 1310/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices increased and were offered in the range of RMB 9450/ton to RMB 9500/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, Polyester POY, DTY and FDY prices remained steady and were quoted at RMB 9850/ton, RMB 11250/ton and RMB 10050/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY and FDY remained steady at US$ 1330/ton, US$ 1520/ton and US$ 1350/ton, respectively.
