PTA & MEG prices show uptrend in Asian region

Paraxylene (PX) prices continued to increase in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices went up and were quoted in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1335/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices increased and were offered at US$ 1315/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market rose and were quoted in the range of US$ 1285/ton to US$ 1290/ton.
 
PTA prices showed uptrend in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices surged and were offered in the range of US$ 990/ton to US$ 995/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices inched up and were quoted at US$ 965/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market rose and were assessed in the range of US$ 945/ton to US$ 950/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices kept inert and were quoted in the range of RMB 7100/ton to RMB 7200/ton.
 
Ethylene prices declined in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices decreased and were offered in the range of US$ 1410/ton to US$ 1415/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices dropped and were quoted at US$ 1370/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices kept unchanged and were assessed in the range of 54.00 cents/pound to 54.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices moved up in the European international as well as in domestic markets and were assessed at US$ 1285/ton and € 1015/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices showed upward momentum in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices surged and were offered at US$ 1005/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices decreased and were quoted in the range of US$ 970/ton to US$ 975/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices remained stable in the range of RMB 7300/ton to RMB 7350/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips remained steady in the range of US$ 1335/ton to US$ 1375/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1345/ton to US$ 1385/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers were steady in the range of US$ 1350/ton to US$ 1390/ton, while talked prices were offered in the range of US$ 1360/ton to US$ 1400/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices kept steady and were offered in the range of RMB 9150/ton to RMB 9200/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices were stable in the range of US$ 1150/ton to US$ 1190/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices stayed steady in the range of US$ 1220/ton to US$ 1250/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of RMB 8750/ton to RMB 8800/ton.
 
PSF prices continued to show steady trend in the Asian region.  In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$ 1410/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices kept steady at US$ 1310/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices were remained stable and were offered in the range of RMB 9450/ton to RMB 9500/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, Polyester POY, DTY and FDY prices kept unchanged and were quoted at RMB 9850/ton, RMB 11250/ton and RMB 10050/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY and FDY remained stable at US$ 1330/ton, US$ 1520/ton and US$ 1350/ton, respectively.
