ACIMIT presents video on sustainable technologies at ITMA

At the press conference held by ACIMIT and the ICE – the Italian Trade Agency, at the ITMA ASIA trade fair event in Shanghai on 17 June, ACIMIT (the Association of Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers) presented its video promoting the progress being achieved by its members in the field of sustainable technologies.

The video illustrates ACIMIT’s Sustainable Technologies project, which was launched four years ago to uphold the commitment of Italian textile machinery manufacturers in rendering their products more sustainable and eco-friendly. The video also presents the Green Label, the centerpiece of ACIMIT’s project, providing specific details on the energy savings derived from each machine on which the label is affixed.

“We’re getting closer to the great event that will be ITMA 2015, the foremost trade fair exhibit at a global level for the textile machinery industry, to be held in Milan in November. The event’s slogan is, “Master the art of sustainable innovation,” states ACIMIT President Ms. Raffaella Carabelli. “I believe this video provides a realistic representation of what visitors can expect to see at the booths of Italian exhibitors at ITMA 2015: eco-friendly machinery with excellent performance specifications, allowing for environmental and economic advantages, reducing costs related to water and energy consumption, as well as raw materials.”

Ms. Carabelli concludes, “This video is an effort on our part to communicate the commitment of ACIMIT and its associated members: a sustainable industry is a competitive industry, producing value social wellbeing – and it’s also a responsible industry, because it thinks to the future.”
