Ethylene prices surge in US; stay steady in other markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices continued to increase in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices increased and were quoted in the range of US$ 1390/ton to US$ 1395/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices inched up and were offered at US$ 1375/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market surged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1375/ton to US$ 1380/ton.
 
PTA prices kept inert in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices remained steady and were offered in the range of US$ 975/ton to US$ 980/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices kept steady and were assessed at US$ 955/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market kept inert and were quoted in the range of US$ 950/ton to US$ 955/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices stayed steady in the range of RMB 7300/ton to RMB 7350/ton.
 
Ethylene prices remained stable in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices remained steady and were quoted in the range of US$ 1405/ton to US$ 1410/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices stayed steady and were assessed at US$ 1385/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices increased and were assessed in the range of 57.00 cents/pound to 58.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices kept unchanged in the European international as well as in domestic markets and were assessed at US$ 1290/ton and € 1020/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices stayed stable in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices remained steady and were offered at US$ 1000/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices kept stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 995/ton to US$ 1000/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices remained steady in the range of RMB 7500/ton to RMB 7550/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips kept steady in the range of US$ 1355/ton to US$ 1395/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1365/ton to US$ 1405/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers remained steady in the range of US$ 1370/ton to US$ 1410/ton, while talked prices were stable in the range of US$ 1380/ton to US$ 1420/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices stayed steady and were quoted in the range of RMB 9400/ton to RMB 9450/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices kept inert and were quoted in the range of US$ 1170/ton to US$ 1190/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices remained steady in the range of US$ 1240/ton to US$ 1270/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices inched up and were offered in the range of RMB 9300/ton to RMB 9350/ton.
 
PSF prices remained steady in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices kept steady at US$ 1410/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices remained stable at US$ 1310/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices increased and were quoted in the range of RMB 9850/ton to RMB 9900/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, Polyester POY, DTY and FDY prices increased and were offered at RMB 10550/ton, RMB 11600/ton and RMB 10500/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY, and FDY moved up to US$ 1440/ton, US$ 1575/ton, and US$ 1425/ton, respectively.
