Asian PTA marginally up, stable in Europe & US last week

In Asian markets, average prices of Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA) increased marginally last week, while they stayed stable in US & Europe.

During the week ending June 28, average F E Asian prices for PTA increased by 1.13 % to US$ 970/ton as compared to US$ 960/ton in the previous week ending June 21. Selling offers were in the range of US$ 955/ton to US$ 995/ton in the same week. 

Average prices in S E Asian market last week were at US$ 995/ton higher by 0.76% as compared to its previous week. Selling offers for PTA were in the range of US$ 980/ton to US$ 1020/ton.

In India, average prices were rose to 1.26% at US$ 1005/ton last week as compared to US$ 995/ton in its previous week. In China, average prices went up marginally by 0.52% to US$ 965/ton last week.

Average prices stayed stable in the Europe and US markets, at € 880/ton and 60 cents/pound respectively in the week under review.
