PTA & Ethylene prices move up in Southeast Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices declined in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices went down and were offered in the range of US$ 1370/ton to US$ 1375/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices inched down and were quoted at US$ 1355/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market kept inert and were assessed in the range of US$ 1425/ton to US$ 1430/ton.
 
PTA prices increased in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices moved up and were offered in the range of US$ 1015/ton to US$ 1020/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices increased and were assessed at US$ 995/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market kept unchanged and were quoted in the range of US$ 995/ton to US$ 1000/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices stayed steady in the range of RMB 7600/ton to RMB 7650/ton.
 
Ethylene prices showed mixed trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices increased and were offered in the range of US$ 1455/ton to US$ 1460/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices remained steady and were quoted at US$ 1410/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices remained stable in the range of 54.50 cents/pound to 55.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained steady in the European international as well as in domestic markets and were quoted at US$ 1320/ton and € 1060/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices increased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices climbed up and were assessed at US$ 1010/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices remained steady and were offered in the range of US$ 1000/ton to US$ 1005/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices remained stable in the range of RMB 7400/ton to RMB 7450/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips increased in the range of US$ 1370/ton to US$ 1410/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1380/ton to US$ 1420/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers increased and were assessed in the range of US$ 1390/ton to US$ 1430/ton, while talked prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1400/ton to US$ 1440/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices kept inert and were offered in the range of RMB 9750/ton to RMB 9800/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices increased and were assessed in the range of US$ 1220/ton to US$ 1230/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were in the range of US$ 1250/ton to US$ 1280/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices increased and were quoted in the range of RMB 9500/ton to RMB 9550/ton.
 
PSF prices continued to show steady trend in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices kept steady at US$ 1410/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices remained stable at US$ 1310/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices remained steady and were quoted in the range of RMB 10025/ton to RMB 10075/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY and FDY decreased to RMB 10525/ton and RMB 10600/ton, while DTY prices remained stable at RMB 10700/ton. In the export market, offers for POY and FDY decreased to US$ 1445/ton and US$ 1440/ton, while DTY prices remained steady at US$ 1595/ton.
