PX, PTA & PSF prices move up in Asian region

Paraxylene (PX) prices increased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices went up and were quoted in the range of US$ 1375/ton to US$ 1380/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices surged and were assessed at US$ 1360/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 1370/ton to US$ 1375/ton.
 
PTA prices continued to increase in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices rose and were quoted in the range of US$ 1020/ton to US$ 1025/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices inched up and were assessed at US$ 1000/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market declined and were assessed in the range of US$ 990/ton to US$ 995/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices dropped and were quoted in the range of RMB 7500/ton to RMB 7550/ton.
 
Ethylene prices showed mixed trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices kept steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 1455/ton to US$ 1460/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices increased and were assessed at US$ 1460/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices moved up and were assessed in the range of 55.00 cents/pound to 55.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices kept unchanged in the European international market to US$ 1320/ton, but declined in domestic market to € 1050/ton.
 
MEG prices decreased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices fell and were quoted at US$ 1005/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices stayed stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 1000/ton to US$ 1005/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices remained steady in the range of RMB 7400/ton to RMB 7450/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips stayed steady in the range of US$ 1370/ton to US$ 1410/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1380/ton to US$ 1420/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers remained stable in the range of US$ 1390/ton to US$ 1430/ton, while talked prices were offered in the range of US$ 1400/ton to US$ 1440/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of RMB 9750/ton to RMB 9800/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices kept stable and were offered in the range of US$ 1220/ton to US$ 1230/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices hovered in the range of US$ 1250/ton to US$ 1280/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices stayed unchanged in the range of RMB 9500/ton to RMB 9550/ton.
 
PSF prices increased in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices surged to US$ 1460/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices climbed to US$ 1360/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices increased and were assessed in the range of RMB 10050/ton to RMB 10100/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, Polyester POY, DTY and FDY prices remained stable and were quoted at RMB 10525/ton, RMB 11700/ton and RMB 10600/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY decreased to US$ 1440/ton, while DTY and FDY prices stayed unaltered at US$ 1595/ton and US$ 1440/ton.
