PX, PTA & MEG prices move up in Southeast Asian region

Paraxylene (PX) prices increased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices surged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1500/ton to US$ 1505/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices inched up and were offered at US$ 1480/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market increased and were assessed in the range of US$ 1490/ton to US$ 1495/ton.
 
PTA prices increased in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices moved up and were assessed in the range of US$ 1020/ton to US$ 1025/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices rose and were quoted at US$ 1000/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market kept inert and were quoted in the range of US$ 985/ton to US$ 990/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of RMB 7400/ton to RMB 7450/ton.
 
Ethylene prices showed mixed trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices increased and were quoted in the range of US$ 1445/ton to US$ 1450/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices remained steady and were assessed at US$ 1470/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices increased and were quoted in the range of 62.50 cents/pound to 63.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained steady in the European international as well as in domestic markets and were offered at US$ 1330/ton and € 1015/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices increased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices went up and were quoted at US$ 990/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices inched up and were offered in the range of US$ 995/ton to US$ 1000/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices kept unchanged in the range of RMB 7450/ton to RMB 7500/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips declined in the range of US$ 1370/ton to US$ 1410/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1380/ton to US$ 1420/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers dropped and were assessed in the range of US$ 1390/ton to US$ 1430/ton, while talked prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1400/ton to US$ 1440/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices kept steady and were assessed in the range of RMB 9350/ton to RMB 9400/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices declined and were offered in the range of US$ 1220/ton to US$ 1230/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices hovered in the range of US$ 1250/ton to US$ 1280/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of RMB 9150/ton to RMB 9200/ton.
 
PSF prices kept stable in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices remained steady at US$ 1420/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were stable at US$ 1320/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices remained stable and were offered in the range of RMB 9800/ton to RMB 9850/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY and DTY remained stable and were quoted at RMB 9950/ton and RMB 11400/ton, respectively, while FDY prices increased to RMB 10300/ton. In the export market, offers for POY and DTY remained steady at US$ 1355/ton and US$ 1550/ton, respectively, while FDY prices surged to US$ 1395/ton.
