PX prices continue to decline in Far East Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices inched down in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices went down and were offered in the range of US$ 1355/ton to US$ 1360/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices continued to decline and were quoted at US$ 1340/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market fell and were offered in the range of US$ 1385/ton to US$ 1390/ton.
 
PTA prices remained steady in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices kept inert and were quoted in the range of US$ 1025/ton to US$ 1030/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices remained steady and were assessed at US$ 1005/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 1000/ton to US$ 1005/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices stayed steady and were offered in the range of RMB 7450/ton to RMB 7500/ton.
 
Ethylene prices remained stable in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices kept inert and were offered in the range of US$ 1475/ton to US$ 1480/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices remained stable and were quoted at US$ 1520/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices increased and were offered in the range of 67.50 cents/pound to 68.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices declined in the European international as well as in domestic markets and were assessed at US$ 1325/ton and € 1025/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices maintained stable trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices kept steady and were quoted at US$ 985/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices kept stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 990/ton to US$ 995/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices remained steady in the range of RMB 7400/ton to RMB 7450/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips declined marginally and were assessed in the range of US$ 1360/ton to US$ 1400/ton. Some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1370/ton to US$ 1410/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers dropped and were quoted in the range of US$ 1380/ton to US$ 1420/ton, while talked prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1390/ton to US$ 1430/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices kept inert and were assessed in the range of RMB 9500/ton to RMB 9550/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices dipped marginally and were offered in the range of US$ 1210/ton to US$ 1220/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were in the range of US$ 1240/ton to US$ 1270/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices declined and were quoted in the range of RMB 9200/ton to RMB 9250/ton.
 
PSF prices kept unchanged in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices remained stable at US$ 1420/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices stayed steady at US$ 1320/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices kept inertand were assessed in the range of RMB 9700/ton to RMB 9750/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY and FDY remained stable at RMB 9900/ton, RMB 11400/ton and RMB 11200/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY and FDY increased to US$ 1355/ton, US$ 1560/ton and US$ 1390/ton, respectively.
