MEG prices decrease marginally in Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices declined in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices went down and were offered in the range of US$ 1315/ton to US$ 1320/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices plunged and were assessed at US$ 1295/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market dropped and were offered in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1335/ton.
 
PTA prices decreased in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices fell and were offered in the range of US$ 1015/ton to US$ 1020/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices declined and were quoted at US$ 995/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market remained steady and were offered in the range of US$ 1010/ton to US$ 1015/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA price decreased and were assessed in the range of RMB 7210/ton to RMB 7260/ton.
 
Ethylene prices remained stable in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices kept unchanged and were offered in the range of US$ 1490/ton to US$ 1495/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices remained steady and were quoted at US$ 1490/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices kept steady and were assessed in the range of 67.00 cents/pound to 67.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained inert in the European international as well as in domestic markets and were quoted at US$ 1280/ton and € 1000/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices declined marginally in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices decreased and were offered at US$ 990/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices kept inert and were quoted in the range of US$ 985/ton to US$ 990/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices inched down and were assessed in the range of RMB 7270/ton to RMB 7320/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips declined in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1340/ton to US$ 1380/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers declined in the range of US$ 1340/ton to US$ 1380/ton, while talked prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1350/ton to US$ 1390/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices increased and were quoted in the range of RMB 9350/ton to RMB 9400/ton.
 
In the Korean market, prices of FG PET Chips declined and were assessed in the range of US$ 1170/ton to US$ 1180/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices hovered in the range of US$ 1200/ton to US$ 1230/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices remained stable and were assessed in the range of RMB 9150/ton to RMB 9200/ton.
 
PSF prices kept inert in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices remained steady at US$ 1430/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were steady at US$ 1330/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices kept stable and were quoted in the range of RMB 9750/ton to RMB 9800/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY and FDY maintained steady trend at RMB 9750/ton, RMB 11400/ton and RMB 10400/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY and FDY prices remained stable at US$ 1340/ton, US$ 1565/ton and US$ 1425/ton, respectively.
