PTA, MEG & PSF prices decline in Asian region

Paraxylene (PX) prices declined in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices decreased and were assessed in the range of US$ 1300/ton to US$ 1305/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices plunged and were offered at US$ 1280/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market kept steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 1315/ton to US$ 1320/ton.
 
PTA prices decreased in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices declined and were offered in the range of US$ 1005/ton to US$ 1010/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices inched down and were quoted at US$ 985/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market decreased and were assessed in the range of US$ 985/ton to US$ 990/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices fell and were quoted in the range of RMB 7065/ton to RMB 7115/ton.
 
Ethylene prices continued to show steady trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices kept steady and were offered in the range of US$ 1490/ton to US$ 1495/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices kept inert and were assessed at US$ 1490/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices remained steady and were quoted in the range of 67.00 cents/pound to 67.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained inert in the European international as well as in domestic markets and were quoted at US$ 1280/ton and € 1000/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices declined in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices dropped and were offered at US$ 985/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices kept steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 985/ton to US$ 990/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices declined and were quoted in the range of RMB 7150/ton to RMB 7200/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips remained stable in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1340/ton to US$ 1380/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers kept inert in the range of US$ 1340/ton to US$ 1380/ton, while talked prices were offered in the range of US$ 1350/ton to US$ 1390/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices kept steady and were offered in the range of RMB 9350/ton to RMB 9400/ton.
 
In the Korean market, prices of FG PET Chips remained inert and were quoted in the range of US$ 1170/ton to US$ 1180/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were in the range of US$ 1200/ton to US$ 1230/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices declined and were assessed in the range of RMB 9100/ton to RMB 9150/ton.
 
PSF prices decreased in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices declined marginally to US$ 1420/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices fell to US$ 1320/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices plunged and were quoted in the range of RMB 9700/ton to RMB 9750/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY and FDY maintained steady trend at RMB 9750/ton, RMB 11400/ton and RMB 10400/ton, respectively. In the export market, offer prices for POY, DTY and FDY kept stable at US$ 1340/ton, US$ 1565/ton and US$ 1425/ton, respectively.
