MEG prices increase in Southeast Asian region

Paraxylene (PX) prices declined in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices plunged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1285/ton to US$ 1290/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices went down and were quoted at US$ 1270/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market went up and were quoted in the range of US$ 1295/ton to US$ 1300/ton.
 
PTA prices kept inert in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices remained steady and were quoted in the range of US$ 995/ton to US$ 1000/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices remained steady and were offered at US$ 975/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market inched down and were assessed in the range of US$ 975/ton to US$ 980/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices remained steady and were offered in the range of RMB 7025/ton to RMB 7075/ton.
 
Ethylene prices remained steady in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices kept unchanged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1490/ton to US$ 1495/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices remained unaltered and were assessed at US$ 1490/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices increased and were offered in the range of 69.00 cents/pound to 69.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices dipped in the European international as well as in domestic markets and were offered at US$ 1250/ton and € 975/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices increased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices surged and were quoted at US$ 990/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 975/ton to US$ 980/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices stayed steady in the range of RMB 7150/ton to RMB 7200/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips kept stable in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1340/ton to US$ 1380/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers remained steady in the range of US$ 1340/ton to US$ 1380/ton, while talked prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1350/ton to US$ 1390/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices remained steady and were quoted in the range of RMB 9350/ton to RMB 9400/ton.
 
In the Korean market, prices of FG PET Chips kept inert and were assessed in the range of US$ 1170/ton to US$ 1180/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were in the range of US$ 1200/ton to US$ 1230/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices remained steady and were offered in the range of RMB 9100/ton to RMB 9150/ton.
 
PSF prices remained steady in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices kept steady at US$ 1420/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices kept inert at US$ 1320/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices remained steady and were quoted in the range of RMB 9700/ton to RMB 9750/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY and FDY remained stable at RMB 9750/ton and RMB 10400/ton, respectively, while DTY prices increased to RMB 11450/ton. In the export market, offers for POY and FDY kept inert at US$ 1345/ton and US$ 1430/ton, respectively, whereas DTY prices increased to US$ 1575/ton.
