PTA prices decline in China and East Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices remained stable in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices kept inert and were offered in the range of US$ 1275/ton to US$ 1280/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices kept steady and were assessed at US$ 1255/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market declined and were offered in the range of US$ 1275/ton to US$ 1280/ton.
 
PTA prices declined marginally in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices went down and were quoted in the range of US$ 985/ton to US$ 990/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices decreased and were assessed at US$ 965/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market kept stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 970/ton to US$ 975/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices decreased and were offered in the range of RMB 6860/ton to RMB 6910/ton.
 
Ethylene prices showed steady trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices kept stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 1490/ton to US$ 1495/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices kept unchanged and were offered at US$ 1490/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices increased and were offered in the range of 70.50 cents/pound to 71.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained steady in the European international as well as in domestic markets and were offered at US$ 1250/ton and € 975/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices kept stable in the Asian region. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices remained unchanged and were offered at US$ 975/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices declined and were offered in the range of US$ 970/ton to US$ 975/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices kept stable in the range of RMB 7110/ton to RMB 7160/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips remained steady in the range of US$ 1320/ton to US$ 1360/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers stayed stable in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton, while talked prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1340/ton to US$ 1380/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices decreased and were quoted in the range of RMB 9125/ton to RMB 9175/ton.
 
In the Korean market, prices of FG PET Chips kept stable and were offered in the range of US$ 1160/ton to US$ 1170/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices hovered in the range of US$ 1190/ton to US$ 1220/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices kept inert and were assessed in the range of RMB 8925/ton to RMB 8975/ton.
 
PSF prices remained stable in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices stayed unchanged at US$ 1405/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices kept stable at US$ 1305/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices kept steady and were quoted in the range of RMB 9600/ton to RMB 9650/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY and FDY remained steady at RMB 9750/ton, RMB 11450/ton and RMB 10450/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY and DTY went up and were assessed at US$ 1345/ton and US$ 1580/ton, respectively, whereas FDY prices kept steady at US$ 1435/ton. (RKS)
