PTA & MEG prices decline in Chinese domestic market

Paraxylene (PX) prices decreased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices declined and were offered in the range of US$ 1235/ton to US$ 1240ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices dropped and were quoted at US$ 1220/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market fell and were offered in the range of US$ 1250/ton to US$ 1255/ton.
 
PTA prices kept stable in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices stayed steady and were quoted in the range of US$ 945/ton to US$ 950/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices remained stable and were offered at US$ 925/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market inched down and were quoted in the range of US$ 920/ton to US$ 925/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices plunged and were assessed in the range of RMB 6685/ton to RMB 6735/ton.
 
Ethylene prices kept inert in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices kept steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 1495/ton to US$ 1500/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices kept unchanged and were quoted at US$ 1500/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices went up and were quoted in the range of 71.50 cents/pound to 72.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices kept stable in the European international as well as in domestic markets and were quoted at US$ 1150/ton and € 910/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices remained stable in the Asian region. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices remained unaltered and were quoted at US$ 950/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices went down and were offered in the range of US$ 935/ton to US$ 940/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices plunged and were assessed in the range of RMB 6850/ton to RMB 6900/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips remained steady in the range of US$ 1320/ton to US$ 1360/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers kept stable in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton, while talked prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1340/ton to US$ 1380/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices plunged and were assessed in the range of RMB 8775/ton to RMB 8825/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices kept stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1160/ton to US$ 1170/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were in the range of US$ 1190/ton to US$ 1220/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices plunged and were offered in the range of RMB 8500/ton to RMB 8550/ton.
 
PSF prices kept inert in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices kept steady at US$ 1355/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were stable at US$ 1255/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices stayed unaltered in the range of RMB 9250/ton to RMB 9275/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY and FDY kept inert at RMB 9550/ton, RMB 11400/ton and RMB 10050/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY and FDY plunged to US$ 1310/ton and US$ 1370/ton, whereas DTY prices remained steady at US$ 1570/ton.
