MEG prices drop; ethylene up in Southeast Asian market

Paraxylene (PX) prices decreased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices declined and were offered in the range of US$ 1235/ton to US$ 1240ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices plunged and were quoted at US$ 1220/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market kept inert and were offered in the range of US$ 1240/ton to US$ 1245/ton.
 
PTA prices declined in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices inched down and were quoted in the range of US$ 920/ton to US$ 925/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices plunged and were offered at US$ 900/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market kept stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 920/ton to US$ 925/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices declined and were offered in the range of RMB 6545/ton to RMB 6595/ton.
 
Ethylene prices increased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices increased and were assessed in the range of US$ 1510/ton to US$ 1515/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices increased and were quoted at US$ 1515/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices moved up and were quoted in the range of 75.50 cents/pound to 76.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices inched up in the European international market to US$ 1120/ton, and kept steady in domestic markets at € 910/ton.
 
MEG prices plunged in the Asian region. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices decreased and were quoted at US$ 910/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices dropped and were offered in the range of US$ 920/ton to US$ 925/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices declined in the range of RMB 6480/ton to RMB 6530/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips remained stable in the range of US$ 1265/ton to US$ 1305/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1275/ton to US$ 1315/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers kept steady in the range of US$ 1285/ton to US$ 1325/ton, while talked prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1295/ton to US$ 1335/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices decreased and were assessed in the range of RMB 8700/ton to RMB 8750/ton.
 
In the Korean market, prices of FG PET Chips kept unchanged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1110/ton to US$ 1120/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were in the range of US$ 1130/ton to US$ 1160/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices decreased and were offered in the range of RMB 8350/ton to RMB 8400/ton.
 
PSF prices declined in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices fell to US$ 1325/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices decreased to US$ 1225/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices dropped and were quoted in the range of RMB 9050/ton to RMB 9075/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY,DTY and FDY went down to RMB 9350/ton, RMB 11300/ton and RMB 9900/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY and FDY declined to US$ 1280/ton, US$ 1554/ton and US$ 1350/ton, respectively.
