OTM 2014, the Middle East textile machinery exhibition which runs from October 16-19, 2014 in Gaziantep, Turkey, will bring the world’s leading textile technology products to Anatolia and its surrounding provinces.

Exhibition organisers, Tuyap and Teknik with support from local trade associations have joined forces once more for OTM 2014.

OTM will be hosted in two indoor halls spread over around 30,000 sq. meters exhibition space. The fair will have more than 500 exhibitors from 20 countries and is expected to attract over 20,000 visitors.

Organisers of OTM 2014 say the fair will prove to be a very important meeting pointing in the region, where investments have increased especially in recent years.

Eastern and the South-Eastern parts of Anatolia have emerged as centres of investment in the textile industry recently.

Investments have poured in to cities like Adiyaman, Diyarbakir, Osmaniye, Sanliurfa, Mardin, Malatya and Nigde besides Adana, Gaziantep, Kayseri and Kahramanmaras which are the most important textile hubs of Turkey.

The organisers inform that Gaziantep has ideal features to host the fair with its good infrastructure and hotel facilities.

Moreover, it has become the economic and commercial hub of the region, due to it being easily accessible by many airlines flying in and out from within Turkey and abroad, they add.

The fair will witness display of technologies across the whole textile value chain beginning from spinning, weaving, carpet tufting, knitting, dyes and chemicals, fabric finishing to laboratory equipment. (AR)
