South Korean integrated textile manufacturer Taekwang Industrial will shut its Ulsan-based plants for maintenance turnaround next year.

Taekwang operates two plants at Ulsan. The No.1 plant produces purified terephthalic acid (PTA) while the No.2 plant produces Propylene.

“The No.1 plant is expected to be shut for maintenance from 1st week of April to 2nd week of April 2015,” a company official told fibre2fashion.

“The No.2 plant is likely to be shut for maintenance from February-end to March 20, 2015,” the official further informed.

The No.1 plant has PTA production capacity of 1 million tons/year, whereas the No.2 plant has Propylene production capacity of 300,000 tons/year.
