Chinese PFY market remains subdued this week

The Chinese polyester filament yarn (PFY) market maintained a weak performance and prices declined due to subdued demand from the downstream market during this week.

PFY market maintained a weak tone as downstream buyers did not show inclination to purchase new inventories.

In the domestic market, average prices for DTY 150 Den/48 F were around RMB 11,050/ton while POY 150 Den/48 F were quoted around RMB 9,025/ton and for FDY 68 Den/24 F were around RMB 9,750/ton.

In the Chinese USD market, PFY prices for DTY 150 Den/48 F were around US$ 1.36-1.40/kg and POY 150 Den/48 F were around US$ 1.13-1.17/kg FOB CMP basis by the end of the current week.
