Polyester raw material prices largely steady in Asia

Paraxylene (PX) prices kept inert in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices kept stable and were offered in the range of US$ 1050/ton to US$ 1055/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices kept steady and were quoted at US$ 1035/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market went down and were offered in the range of US$ 1050/ton to US$ 1055/ton.

PTA prices went up in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices went up and were quoted in the range of US$ 815/ton to US$ 820/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices increased and were offered at US$ 795/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market went up and were quoted in the range of US$ 785/ton to US$ 790/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices went down and were offered in the range of RMB 5575/ton to RMB 5625/ton.

Ethylene prices kept steady in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices kept inert and were assessed in the range of US$ 1275ton to US$ 1280/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices kept steady and were quoted at US$ 1295/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices kept inert and were quoted in the range of 58.50 cents/pound to 59.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices kept inert in the European international market as well as in the domestic market and were quoted at US$ 1180/ton and € 960/ton, respectively.

MEG prices kept stable in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices kept inert and quoted at US$ 840/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices went down and were assessed in the range of US$ 830/ton to US$ 835/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices went up in the range of RMB 6065/ton to RMB 6115/ton.

In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips went up in the range of US$ 1140/ton to US$ 1180/ton. Some deals increased at US$ 1150/ton to US$ 1190/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers went up at US$ 1160/ton to US$ 1200/ton, while talked prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1170/ton to US$ 1210/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices kept inert and were assessed in the range of RMB 8050/ton to RMB 8100/ton.

In the Korean market, prices of FG PET Chips went up and were assessed in the range of US$ 1010/ton to US$ 1050/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were in the range of US$ 1020/ton to US$ 1060/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices went down and were offered in the range of RMB 7475/ton to RMB 7525/ton.

PSF prices kept stable in the Asian region.  In the F E Asian market, PSF prices kept steady at US$ 1215/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices kept inert at US$ 1115/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices remained unchanged and were quoted in the range of RMB 8300/ton to RMB 8325/ton.
