Polyester POY prices increase in Chinese market

Paraxylene (PX) prices plunged in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices declined and were offered in the range of US$ 1015/ton to US$ 1020/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices decreased and were quoted at US$ 1000/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market went down and were offered in the range of US$ 1020/ton to US$ 1025/ton.
 
PTA prices kept inert in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices kept steady and were quoted in the range of US$ 785/ton to US$ 790/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices remained stable and were offered at US$ 765/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market went down and were quoted in the range of US$ 760/ton to US$ 765/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices went up and were offered in the range of RMB 5485/ton to RMB 5535/ton.
 
Ethylene prices kept steady in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices kept stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1255/ton to US$ 1260/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices remained unchanged and were quoted at US$ 1220/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices went up and were quoted in the range of 51.50 cents/pound to 52.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices kept inert in the European international as well as in domestic markets and were quoted at US$ 1190/ton and € 950/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices went up in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices increased and were quoted at US$ 860/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices dropped and were assessed in the range of US$ 840/ton to US$ 845/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices shot up in the range of RMB 6345/ton to RMB 6395/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips went down in the range of US$ 1125/ton to US$ 1165/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1135/ton to US$ 1175/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers plunged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1145/ton to US$ 1185/ton, while talked prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1155/ton to US$ 1195/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips’ prices kept inert and were assessed in the range of RMB 7950/ton to RMB 8000/ton.
 
In the Korean market, prices of FG PET Chips went down and were assessed in the range of US$ 1000/ton to US$ 1040/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices hovered in the range of US$ 1010/ton to US$ 1050/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips’ prices went up and were offered in the range of RMB 7275/ton to RMB 7325/ton.
 
PSF prices kept stable in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices remained stable at US$ 1180/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices kept unchanged at US$ 1080/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices went up and were quoted in the range of RMB 8100/ton to RMB 8125/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY went up to RMB 8650/ton, while DTY and FDY prices kept inert at RMB 10550/ton and RMB 8600/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY went up to US$ 1175/ton, while DTY and FDY prices kept inert at US$ 1445/ton and US$ 1155/ton, respectively.
