Propylene prices went down in parts of Asia and remained steady in a few on Monday (Nov 17).

Prices declined mainly due to lower upstream energy prices coupled with sluggish downstream demand in the region.

Poor demand for downstream products also supported the price fall.

In China, prices were spotted at US$ 1190/ton, lower by US$ 5/ton as compared to the prices by the end of the last week.

In Korea, prices were assessed at US$ 1135/ton, also lower by US$ 5/ton as against seen at the end of the previous week.

Prices stayed flat in S E Asia and Japan at US$ 1135/ton and US$ 1140/ton respectively.
