Polyester POY prices drop in Chinese domestic market

Paraxylene (PX) prices surged in Asian markets. PX prices went up in SE Asia, ranging between US$ 935 and 940 per ton. In the FE Asian market, PX prices increased to US$ 920 per ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market went down to a range of US$ 965 to 970 per ton.
 
PTA prices increased in Asia. SE Asian market witnessed a surge in PTA prices which ranged between US$ 750 to 755 per ton. In the FE Asian market, PTA prices increased to US$ 730 per ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market plunged and were assessed in a range of US$ 730 to 735 per ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices increased to a range of RMB 5410 to 5460 per ton.
 
Ethylene prices maintained steady trend in Asian markets. In the SE Asian market, Ethylene prices were stable ranging between US$ 1155 and 1160 per ton. In the FE Asian market, Ethylene prices were stable at US$ 1075 per ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices were stable ranging between 50.50 to 51.00 cents per pound. Ethylene prices remained stable in the European international as well as in domestic markets at US$ 1115 per ton and € 920 per ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices increased in Asia. In SE Asia, MEG prices went up to US$ 830 per ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices went down ranging between US$ 820 and 825 per ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices decreased to a range of RMB 6180 to 6230 per ton.
 
In SE Asia, prices of BG PET Chips remained stable ranging between US$ 1130 and 1170 per ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1140 to 1180 per ton. In the FE Asian market, selling offers remained unchanged in the range of US$ 1150 to 1190 per ton, while talked prices hovered in the range of US$ 1160 to 1200 per ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips’ prices stayed steady ranging between RMB 7950 and 8000 per ton.
 
In the Korean market, prices of FG PET Chips were stable in the range between US$ 1010 and 1050 per ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices hovered in the range of US$ 1020 to 1060 per ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips’ prices remained steady ranging between RMB 7450 and 7500 per ton.
 
PSF prices were stable in Asia. In the FE Asian market, PSF prices remained steady at US$ 1210 per ton. In the SE Asian market, PSF selling prices kept unchanged at US$ 1110 per ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices went down ranging between RMB 8150 and 8200 per ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY declined to RMB 8800 per ton, while DTY and FDY prices were steady at RMB 10650 per ton and RMB 8700 per ton. In the export market, offers for POY declined to US$ 1195 per ton, where as DTY and FDY prices were stable at US$ 1455 per ton and US$ 1165 per ton, respectively.
