Asian MEG prices declined in Asia on Monday (Jan 5) mainly due to lower upstream product prices and poor downstream demand in the region.

The price fall was supported by lower prices of other polyester feedstock.

In China, prices were assessed at US$ 745/ton on Monday, lower by US$ 5/ton as compared to prices at the end of last week.

In India, prices were spotted at US$ 750/ton on Jan 5, down by US$ 5/ton as against prices at the end of previous week.
