Asian ethylene up last week due to favourable fundamentals

Ethylene prices went up in Asia in the last week ending Feb 6 due to favourable market fundamentals.

In Japan, average prices grew by US$ 5/ton or 0.61 per cent and were quoted at US$ 830/ton last week, as compared to its previous week.

In SE Asia, average prices increased by US$ 5/ton and were assessed at US$ 885/ton last week, up 0.57 per cent as against its previous week.

In NE Asia too, average prices rose by US$ 15/ton and were offered at US$ 885/ton last week from its previous week, an increase of 1.72 per cent.

In India also, average prices lifted by US$ 5/ton or 0.57 per cent from its previous week and were spotted at US$ 885/ton last week.
